Interview with Tony Pereira * TP: about the upcoming fight Gary Rebealiza vs. Tony Pereira in Honolulu, Hawaii

Interview by Saev

Antone Tony Boy Pereira III - Got Skills FighterMMA Hawaii: Tony can you tell us a little about your current fight records and how long ago did you start your fight training?

TP: I am 1-0 in the “Got Skills Fighter” event; my kickboxing record is 6-0-1.

I started training when I was 5 yrs. old.

MMA Hawaii: Where are you currently training?

TP: Waianae Boxing Club under Papa Fred Pereira.

MMA Hawaii: What was the most memorable fight of your career?

TP: Ringside 2004 in Kansas City.

MMA Hawaii: What would you consider to be your strong points?

TP: Pretty much that I am always in condition,

MMA Hawaii: How do you feel about your next fight against Gary Rebealiza, and what do you expect from him in this fight?

TP: I’m excited. He’s supposed to be strong on the ground; I am strong in my stand-up game. (Being that “Got Skills” is 1st round kickboxing, 2nd round takedowns, 3rd round submissions)…hands down I will take the 1st round, and he’ll probably be running the 1st and 2nd rounds. I think he’ll be aggressive the 3rd.

MMA Hawaii: Finally do you care to make a prediction as to what the outcome of this fight will be?

TP: I hope I’ll win. I am stepping up to his game for this match.

MMA Hawaii: Is there anything you would like to say to the fight fans in Hawaii and or your opponent Gary Rebealiza?

TP: To the local fighters, keep training hard. As for my opponent, keep your hands up & I am looking forward to you stepping up to my game at the next “Kickin’ It” event (April 20). Lastly to MMA Hawaii, thanks for all your coverage & support of the local fighters & events.
