Just got back from the Big Island. Great night of fights with only 1 fight going the distance. Big Island Teams went 9-1 against Oahu Competition.

Micahel Brightmon did well in defeat. I admire him to stepping out of his comfort zone and went blow for blow with Ross 'the boss' for most of the fight!

JAB's Top Performers:

Fight of the Night: Jay Carter vs Jonathan Joao (even though fight ended with a ko, hard leather was thrown from both sides up until that point)

KO of the Night: Jay Carter (Carter landed a beautiful lead leg high kick that dropped Joao, the fight should've been stopped there, but before the ref stepped in Carter dropped 2 more bombs to his out opponent right on the chin...)

Submission of the Night: Chris Cisneros (beautiful transition from a standing rolling kneebar while his opponent tried to suplex him into a heel hook)

Upset of the Night: Matt Comeau (this kid is tough, seen him fight twice now and see him as someone to look out for in the 145lb division...his win avoided an Oahu shutout in the competition and gave "red bull" his 1st taste of defeat in mma competition.)
