Interview with Jenna Oda * JO; about the upcoming fight against Jennifer Sylva at Midwest Invasion on Friday, February 15, 2008
MMA Hawaii; Jenna can you tell us a little about your current fight record and how long ago did you start your fight training?
JO; I've never had a American Kickboxing or Muay Thai match. So no record to speak of there. However, I have a 2-1 amateur boxing record. I started my Muay Thai training about 5 months ago.
MMA Hawaii; Where are you currently training?
JO; I currently train with Andre Washington of Team Island Thunder, Muay Thai.
MMA Hawaii; What was the most memorable fight of your carrier?
JO; My first amateur boxing match is definitely the most memorable fight of my career. It was my first win and I got to travel to Maui to fight.
MMA Hawaii; What would you consider to be your strong points?
JO; My hands would definitely have to be my strong point.
MMA Hawaii; How do you feel about your fight against Jennifer Sylva, and what do you expect from her in this fight?
JO; I'm very anxious. I've been waiting a long time to step into the ring. I'm ready to fight. The only thing I expect from her is to come out swinging, as will I.
MMA Hawaii; Finally do you care to make a prediction as to what the outcome of this fight will be?
JO; The only prediction I have is that it will be an exciting fight.
MMA Hawaii; Is there anything you would like to say to the fight fans in Hawaii and or your opponent Jennifer Sylva?
JO; Keep supporting Hawaii fighters. I hope in the near future that more women will come out to fight. We need more women fighters that are willing to step in the ring.
