Alaska Fighting Championships: State's Collide

Anchorage, Alaska (April  08, 2008) - It is freezing cold out here. There was about 4 inches of snow the other day with some slight snow fall late this afternoon. Alaska has shown Team Hawaii a lot of love since our arrival a few days ago. There are a lot of former Hawaii residents that have moved out this way. We were especially grateful for The Foot Soldiers (Ali and McCoy) as well as Team Wolfpack (Esau, Joe, Kevin, Ryder and the boys) for extending invitations to roll with Team Hawaii. Both camps having some very tough local fighters.
We just finished with the weigh in's and happy to say that all fighters on the card made weight. All of Team Hawaii came in just under the weight limits while Team Alaska came in right on the limit.
The 155lb match features the two heavily tattooed fighters, Dominic Ahnee vs Brian Evans. The 170lb match will feature two wrestlers, David Padilla vs David. In the 185lb match we will see two fighters with very opposite styles, Ron Verdadero vs Julio Paulino. In light heavyweight action two fighters with solid chins will go at it, Smokey Brown vs Jesus Rivera. The main event will feature the two heavy hitters Koloa Kahalewai vs Bryan Ryan.
