New week, new stories.  We got two comeback stories on matches that are scheduled to impress.  Tillis Seonesini vs Jessie Lindley for the Cruiserweight title.  Two of these wrecking machines will go head to head and haven’t been in the ring for a while.  Great guys when their out of the ring.  Total wrecking machines when their in it.  Before these two fighters took a break from the scene, they were laying brada’s on their back.  Both of them have knockout power and are not afraid to take one so they can give one.  Aawwhh yeah.  Sounds like someone is going to be snoring before the third round ends.  What was once lost is wanting to be found by Lindley who held the title but lost it a couple of years ago to Seonesini’s teammate from Up & Up Gym.  Lindley is well known for his one blow k.o. left hook.  Yup yup, you heard it right, one blow k.o.  That’s a title all in itself.  But he has been working with his trainer Kimo on other weapons to bring into the ring on Feb 7.  Seonesini is known for his intensity & power when the bell rings.  This guy is like a machine when he comes at you and every punch and kick that he throws has bad endings written all over it.  Seonesini will be looking to publish one of his bad endings into Lindleys storybook.  If Seonesini’s aggressiveness doesn’t send Lindley running.  Just look into this guy’s eyes.  This sole has the kind of eyes that those crazy samoans have when they’re about to lift your car out of the way to take your parking.  Chee-hu. It cho-time paypee

Two other comeback fighters that will be facing each other are Julio Moreno vs Kainoa Cooke.  Das right gangy.  They’re baaaaaack.  Moreno as well as Cooke have been out of commission for years but have found their way back to their respective homes which are Bullspen and O2.  Both camps create outstanding fighters in all different types of martial arts.  And these two guys are some of their finest creations.  Moreno is one of the toughest 135ers that you will find on the circuit.  Does it all from kickboxing to mma.  Great on the defense and the offense and yes, he will press Cooke with all the action that Cooke can handle until Cooke is overcooked from the action.  Heehee.  Cooke is also great on the offense and the defense and likes to push the fight as well.  But if Cooke has to back up, he has good footwork & counters to avoid danger if need be.  Moreno usually has a strategic offense when he comes in.  Cooke on the other hand has more of a let’s do this offense when he comes in (just like one of his trainers) heehee.  This should be a killer match for both of them have similar styles, great camps and great condition.  Let’s do this !!!

Anthony Reyes, Thomas Reyes, Steven Reyes, veterans of Man-up & Stand-up.  You all have heard these names throughout the local fight world.  These haole boys bring it as if they are natives of the island.  Maybe its because they grew up on the Westside, maybe its because they think they’re tough, maybe its because they’re just trying to make they’re mark in the fight world.  One thing for sure, they are true WARRIORS in the Man-up & Stand-up world.  These haole boys bring it like local boys at the beaches after midnight.  True that.  No fearing, no retreating, no quitting (unless the ref says stop).  Other than that, it’s all IMUA baby.  Some of our own local boys don’t bring it as hard as these white boys bring it.  But Man-Up & Stand-Up is adding not one but two more Reyes warriors into the Man-Up & Stand-Up show on Feb 7.  Looking to make their kickboxing debut is tita & Papa bear.  Yeah baby.  Outstanding grappler, Sadie Reyes (sister) & provider of the Reyes bloodline, Tony Reyes (dad).  One clan on one event.  It doesn’t get any better than that.  When we say it’s a family event, we mean it.  Das right.

Update on the semi main event which is the fight with promoter vs fighter.  Andrew Garcia (promoter) has been wanting to test his punching and kicking power on Mark Kumai (fighter) after one of his trainers complimented him on how hard he hits.  But Garcia was kind of bummed out knowing the chances on knocking out an opponent who wears a headgear in a fight.  His chances just improved when Man-Up & Stand-Up got a call from Kumai’s trainer that said Kumai is taking off the headgear & shin guards to fight Garcia.  Oh boy this is getting good.  Garcia already committed to not using a headgear to fight, accepted the leg kicks / knees and requested to fight an experienced fighter (Kumai) in his kickboxing debut.  Talk about “no baby um”.  Garcia is all about that.  Does he think Kumai is a push over or is he looking to surprise the Man-Up & Stand-Up crowd on Feb 7?  Your guess is as good as ours.  No head gears, no shin guards, no excuses.  Don’t wait until the fight is over to ask who won the fight.  Get your tickets now at all participating schools.  Choke killer matches lined up.  Hope to see you there
