In the end, the primary factor will always be about business feasibility. I mean $.
You say that your starting capital is sufficient, but unless Patrick is your sugar daddy(jus joking Pat), you'll need to be sure it's profitable (or at least sustainable) at some point.
The "Free Surf" mag is a great cultural mag, but they have the power of a relatively larger fan/consumer base. Which means they are able to get more national and international companies buying ad space. They also have many more local outlets who not only buy ad space, but also distribute publications (i.e. jamba juice, hic, local motion, etc)
Another, maybe more appropriate, model might be "Island Paddler" magazine. This is a smaller publication that is geared primarily to Hawaii's paddling community (some over seas). They have maybe more comparable market factors to the mag you're starting. And they make it work.

Is that cover of DC on top gonna be the cover of the first issue? I hope not. It would be a bad idea now....trust me.

Hopefully not a whole page. In fact if anyone deserves to be in the mag at all its BK,not DC.

That's what I ment. The picture of BK, the one we posted on our home page would look great on the back of our magazine.

yea Bk does belong in the mag and not me.
but I need to redeem my self and ask for a rematch.Doesnt need to be in a main event can be in a small show plus we can be the first fight.I just want to redeem my name thats all cause I sure didnt show up that night. confusion and bad judgement on my part. so I just want a rematch I owe the fans, and people who believed in me.and mostly 2 myself. No grudgee match or anything.Just a person who needs BK to give me a chance again.I humbly say thankyou aloha DC

The concept of having a publication for MMA in Hawaii is awesome. 2 publications shows that this sport is moving along. If any of you would like a critic, I'm all game.

We can always use a critic, but you would have to reveal yourself to the public. If that's okay with you than email us directly.

What do you mean what about Breezy? Breezy is apart of MMA Hawaii and always will be. Or are you talking about identity?

Be careful of the words you say...keep them soft and sweet. You\'ll never know from day to day which ones you\'ll have to eat!
