Arguably the biggest news coming out of the Cage Rage event in London, England this weekend was something that took place before the show even started, as Wes "Cabbage" Correira was mugged on the morning of the show and was unable to fight against Tengiz Tedoradze as scheduled.
A conversation with Cabbage revealed the true extent of his nightmare in England. Aside from the ten hours in Customs to obtain a work visa when he entered the country, Cabbage had a terrible night’s sleep last night and was up at 6:00 AM this morning, roaming the hotel foyer for water. Whilst not strictly a mugging as nothing was taken, someone snuck up behind him and clubbed him over the back of the head, knocking him out cold.
For the life of me, I have no idea why this would happen, and neither do the Cage Rage promoters or Cabbage. Needless to say, hotel security footage will be inspected and the police have been involved. Cabbage is adamant that he will fight in the UK again, and he would like his bout against Tedoradze to be rescheduled for the new year
