Sasae Paogafie May Get a Shot On The Big Stage |

 Sources close to MMA Hawaii have stated that there may be a possible shot at the big stage of Strikeforce for local hard hitter, Sasae Paogafie. With Strikeforce giving so many chances to local Hawaii fighters, this would be another step into showcasing the talent that our great state has to offer. Not only will Paogafie be another local boy in the big leagues, he is a natural athlete who will showcase the power and heart that the islands are accustomed to. His abilities and talents go much deeper than his time inside the cage.
Sasae was an All State football player in High School as well as a standout in Track, Basketball, Baseball, and soccer. All of this lead to his move to Northern California where he played football at a junior college. He then took his talent to the next level with the Arena Football league for four years which accounted for two Championship Titles. Paogafie then turned his sights to MMA.
As a regular participant in BJ Penn’s “Just Scrap” promotion, Paogafie went 3-0. His first fight was a first round TKO. His next fight showcased his ground skills as he took the fight in under two minutes by rear naked choke. He took his power to UFC Vet, Niko Vitale’s, 808 Battleground and gained another first round TKO within seconds of the opening buzzer. In his short amateur career he proved himself worthy to meet Japanese Judo superstar, Satoshi Ishii, in an exhibition match.
Having personally seen Sasae Paogafie in action, there is no doubt that with his 4-2 record he will make Hawaii proud if Strikeforce agrees to unleash him on the mainland challengers. As the sport grows in popularity, so will the opportunities for our local fighters. There is no doubt that our proud island state will be nothing less than 100% behind our local fighter as he hopes to make this great leap in his career.
