Our most recent string of local stories has been focused mainly on the atmosphere surrounding some of Hawaii’s local gyms. Next up on our list is HMC. This is a team that is very well respected on a very large level. They have a sister school in Seattle, Washington and they also maintain ties to Japan. But the perks of training with them far exceed merely that.  Respect, persistence, and wisdom are only a few of the daily lessons learned within HMC’s walls. The trainers are dedicated to drilling for reaction and instinct instead of memory or guesswork. With so many talented fighters calling HMC home it is no surprise that there are multiple belts in the state of Hawaii are held by its members. The team has been around much longer than some may think and they have been developing one day at a time into what they are today.
