 Aloha,
I am Brian Ahakuelo and I recently returned to Hawaii after working in Washington DC as Organizing Director for the IBEW. I am a 30 year member of IBEW Local 1260, which is the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. I wanted to take this opportunity to express my commitment and support for the MMA Community in Hawaii and across our nation.
My 2 grandsons are active participants in learning the skills of MMA and the positive motivation that I have seen for them and other young men and women. I am so thankful for the coaches and mentors who devote so much time to teaching young adults into believing in themselves and others.
The discipline it teaches brings out the best in our future leaders, teaching respect, integrity, and personal responsiblilty. This is a great motivator for our new generation of workers who are working hard everyday in our present workforce.
IBEW Members here in Hawaii and across the nation, are the highest quality of workers in our industries that we represent, and their dedication to their community and their work is something that we should all be proud of. I thank all our brother and sisters in the MMA for their commitment to excellence.
