Everyone seems to be gearing up for this weekends Big Boys and MMA Hawaii Expo. Even Jake Shields and Gilbert Melendez got in on the media action, as they visited with Hawaii News Now today to talk about the expo and their connection to Hawaii. MMA Hawaii was there to capture the action and get a little insight into how they are getting ready to meet the fans.

Both Jake and Gilbert expressed complete respect for the Hawaii fight scene, seeing as they both attribute the beginning of their careers to promotions here in Hawaii. The Strikeforce Lightweight Champion and the former UFC Welterweight #1 contender, appeared very relaxed and happy to be here in Hawaii to meet and greet their fans.
