Day Two- Big Boys and MMA Hawaii Expo E-mail
Local MMA News

IMG_3115Day two of the Big Boys and MMA Hawaii Expo was non-stop action from start to finish. Right off the bat Travis Browne returned for an autograph signing at the GNC booth. Immediately following Travis, Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez and UFC Welterweight Contender Jake Shields stopped in to meet and greet with the Hawaii fans as well. Kendall Grove and Chris Leben were also in attendance with their booths side by side. The back and forth between the two was hilarious. Chyna once again made her presence known at the Liquid Nitro booth as she signed autographs and took pictures with her fans, old and new.

But the celebrity personalities were not the only ones who made waves. Governor Neil Abercrombie stopped by and visited almost every corner of the Expo to show his support of MMA and other combat sports, as well as the Bully Dog Show and all of the local businesses represented. He made it clear that his administration is pro MMA in Hawaii.

The Hawaii Triple Crown had a full crowd from start to finish. All of the amazing Jiu-Jitsu competitors wowed the crowds almost every second of the day. This is why Hawaii is only ranked behind Brazil in the world of Jiu-Jitsu. The knowledgeable fans were applauding at the sight of so many live action chess matches.

Fight Girls Hawaii had their weigh-ins while the fans looked on. Proving once more that the women's movement in MMA in Hawaii is stronger than ever. From food to cars to clothes and more, the Big Boys and MMA Hawaii Expo has something for everybody. Day two was a success. Come down to the Blaisdell Center while you can for the third and final day.
