Tony "The Tiger" Rodriguez is a name that is immediately associated with standing and banging. Everybody knows what Tony wants to do. So when Cody Santos ,of Team Bulls Pen, entered the cage this past Saturday night, it was a common misconception that he would try to take the fight to the ground.     In truth, that was Cody's plan. But when the fist began to fly, the gameplan changed a bit.   

"I was actually looking to take him down. But then the punches started and things just went different."   

Cody and Tony traded some furious punches almost in the center of the cage. Just as Tony landed a shot on the chin of Santos, he answered back with a punch that put Rodrigues on the mat.     

"When I connected, I saw him fall back. I used that opportunity to go for it. It was pretty shocking that this stand up fighter that everybody knows for standing up, and I actually knocked him down. That was pretty big for me."   

As Tony hit the mat, Santos followed up with the final punches that would end the fight. The ref stepped in and Cody claimed the victory. Yet another major win for Santos and for Bulls Pen. But for now, Santos isn't looking too far in the future.     

"I'm just taking it all day by day and fight by fight right now."
