The stage is set for Destiny Na Koa II. The fighters and fans who attended the weigh-ins already know the tension is thick as Hawaii's best square off against the cream of the Washington crop.
As many know, Destiny has decided to make this event a nail biter, with multiple titles
on the line. Ranging from amateur to professional the straps are on the line across multiple weight classes. It's time for Hawaii's fighters to do work and defend their home turf against the mainland invaders. Johnavan Vistante will be defending his 155 lb belt, and looks more determined than ever. After his last performance against Charles Bennett, Jov knows exactly what he is capable of and looks to prove his worth against his title challenger.
In other exciting fights, Russell Doane will be placing his Bantamweight title on the line yet again, but still manages to look smooth doing it. As usual, Doane appeared calm and collected at the weigh-in event, but he will surely break his nice guy persona in the cage come fight night.
Also defending his belt is Robby Ostovich. The young talent has been making his way up the
ladder ever since he beginnings in local triple threat matches. After avenging a recent decision loss, Robby set his sights on the title. And after capturing it, this will be his first defense. Judging by his determination over the years, it will take an entire army to pry the strap from his hands.
Also, local MMA legend, Ron "The Machine Gun" Jhun, will be making his return to the cage. Long has Ron been the orchestrator of mayhem over at 808 Top Team, and now he will return to fighting by taking on a top Washington talent. It will definitely remind us of the height of MMA here in Hawaii to see Ron back in the cage. And as we all know, he brings an entire arsenal to the cage that few can match.
These are just a few examples of the action that will take place at the Blaisdell Arena on Saturday, January 19. So if you don't have your tickets now, be sure to grab them fast as Destiny MMA presents Na Koa II at the Neil S. Blaisdell Arena. Undercard begins at 3pm, main card at 6pm.
