Sarmiento is Choked out by "the Punk."

Harris Sarmiento was defeated tonight in San Jose Calif. at the HP Pavillion by Josh Thomson. Ringsiders indicated that Sarmiento controlled the first round but began to lose ground in the second. Thomson started to control the fight with takedowns and sub attempts. Despite a valliant effort on Sarmiento's part Thomson was able to mount him in the third and Sarmiento gave up his back. After some work Thomson was able to secure an arm triangle at 3:19 of the 3rd round. Reports from ringside indicate the fight was give and take and that it  was no lopsided affair. The fight was one round a piece going into the 3rd and final round. Props go out to Harris from MMA Hawaii ! Harris continually steps up and faces the biggest names in the sport.
