MTV launches amateur MMA documentary on January 9th entitled, "Caged"

The MTV documentary series will follow the lives of several different amateur MMA fighters on the Louisiana fight scene as they try to make their name known in the sport. The walks of life differ from fighter to fighter, as do their particular back stories. The cameras will follow the fighters in and out of the cage and in all aspects of their day to day life. MTV expects big things from the show that will be available to air in 500 Million households worldwide.

Eliot Marshall announces his release from the UFC

After suffering two losses since his return to the octagon, the once 3-1 UFC scrapper is now 3-3 in the organization and has since been axed. The former Ring Of Fire Light Heavyweight Champion lost a razor close decision to Brandon Vera in his last outing, and many are puzzled at the chop.

Luke Rockhold vs The Dean of Mean for the Strikeforce Strap

Newly crowned Strikeforce Champ, Luke Rockhold will face former UFC standout, Keith Jardine, in a title fight that is expected to take place on January 7th. Rockhold is an AKA product that shocked the masses with his dismantling of then champ, Jacare Souza. Jardine also turned some heads with his ability to frustrate top ranked global fighter, Gegard Mousasi.
