Fabricio Werdum is back! The UFC is expected to roll out his return in a bout against UFC Heavyweight, Roy Nelson at UFC 143.

Werdum was released from the UFC and made a transition to Strikeforce where he submitted Fedor Emilianenko in 69 seconds, snapping the then amazing 27 fight win streak of the supposed unbeatable man. Werdum, however, then went on to lose a unanimous decision to Overeem in next round of the HW tournament. Many said the fight was one of the most boring of the year and a flat performance by Werdum.

Nelson has fought off release in the UFC with his TKO of Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic in his last octagon performance. He has been an on and off fighter since making his UFC debut against Brandon Schaub at the TUF 10 Finale where he scored a first round KO for the title of The Ultimate Fighter.

This fight will likely determine the future of the loser in the UFC.
