It is only a few more days away now. Max Holloway will make his second UFC appearance, much to the delight of the Hawaii fans who hold him so dear. The scrappy young fighter from the west side of O'ahu hasĀ been making his assent for years now. And as the youngest fighter it the UFC, Max will be making his second trip into the octagon to face submission artist, Pat "Thrilling" Schilling.
Holloway's stand up game should be feared by anyone in the UFC's Featherweight Division. He proved against Dustin Poirier that he is a force on the feet that many shouldn't chance. And now he has tirelessly worked his ground game in preparation for this very moment. His will and determination have been shown as he has forged forward on his quest for greatness, achieving things that many only dream of. We can all rest assured that on June 1st, at The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale, Max will go into the Octagon and once again give a fight to the man across the cage.
That man is Pat Schilling. A fighter who has power in his hands but focuses more on submissions, Schilling is also no fighter to be slept on. His UFC debut was against the sleeper powerhosuse known as Daniel Pineda. Though he lost via Rear Naked Choke, he is not to be taken lightly. Finishes are a strong point for Schilling. He has ended a majority of his fights via Rear Naked Choke, as well as Kneebar and even submission via punches. But will he have what it takes to handle the furious hands, feet, shins, knees, and elbows of our own Max "Blessed" Holloway?
Tune in to The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale on June 1st, as Max Holloway takes on this new challenge in the octagon on the FX Prelims.
