Max Holloway Weighs In Today For Second Fight In UFC E-mail
National MMA News

By: King Eddieblessed

Max Holloway weighs in today for the second time with the largest MMA promotion on the planet, the UFC. The west side sensation has made his way into the big show on a road paved with dedication. There has rarely been a fight in Holloway's pro career in which he was not the underdog, and he has risen to the occasion each and every time.

His octagon debut may not have seen him as the winner of the bout vs Dustin Poirier, but he was definitely a winner in the eyes of all who watched as Max gave the top ranked fighter all that he could handle on the feet. Holloway shocked everyone with his domination of striking. Everyone except those of us who know his potential. We here on the islands knew that his striking abilities would be his ace in the hole.

Poirier was forced to take the fight to the mat and the rest is history, but Max didn't let the loss bring him down. He returned to Hawaii with a smile on his face and a plan to train harder. To Max, the loss opened his eyes to areas of his game that he needs to focus on. So he did.

Now he faces Pat Schilling in his second promotional appearance, and much to the delight of his biggest fan base, the Hawaii fans, he seems more confident than ever. Though Schilling is also a grappling specialist, the fight will start on the feet. But even if it ventures to the mat, most are confident in the fact that Holloway has been dressing up his grappling for just such an occasion.

As we all look on with pride in our eyes and hope in our hearts, Max "Blessed" Holloway will make us proud once more. No matter what.

Catch the live Weigh-In today at 1pm on Fuel TV and support our local fighter Max Holloway as he looks for his first win inside the UFC.
