Max Holloway vs Justin Lawrence at UFC 150 E-mail
National MMA News

By: King Eddie

TUF_Live_Finale_Weigh_In_076_largeUFC 150 will have a treat for fans of furious striking. The word around the business is that the UFC is lining up a bout between #1 overall TUF Live pick, Justin Lawrence, and our own local UFC fighter, Max Holloway.

Lawrence will be dropping down from the lightweight division to face Holloway in his home at Featherweight, but there may be a few surprises in store for him in this fight. While Lawrence is widely discussed as a striker, he may be out of his league with Holloway who clearly outclassed Pat Schilling in their bout at the TUF Finale.

In his first two bouts in the UFC, Holloway has been pitted against opponents who were strong in wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu, so this will be his frist bout against a fellow striker. Lawrence was also fed a similar lineup, as he faced Christiano Marcello on TUF, as well as John Cofer at the TUF Finale, neither of which were strong in the stand up department.

When reached for comment on this potential barn burner, Max Holloway had this to say. . .

"It's a classic striker against striker match!"

UFC 150 will take place August 11 in Denver, Colorado and will be headlined by the rematch between Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson vs former Champion Frankie Edgar.---Though the grudge match may be the most anticipated, the battle of the featherweights may steal the show.
