February 2 is a big day for Hawaii. One reason for celebration, is the promotional debut of Hawaii's own, Lowen Tynanes, at One FC 7 in Malaysia.
This is a giant leap for MMA in Hawaii, as ONE FC is the most high profile MMA promotion in the Asian region at the moment. Their roster includes Bibiano Fernandes, Shinya Aoki, and many many more superstars. And now, Lowen Tynanes will grace their cage and spread pain and Aloha.
It was clear that the promotion would take notice of him, after his one sided destruction of their top level fighter, Eduard Folayang. Tynanes only needed one round to dispatch of the ONE FC fighter when they met at URCC 22 in the Philippines. It was indeed a bloody affair that warranted a doctor to stop the fight. There was literally no dammage dealt to Lowen, while on the inverse, Folayang's blood painted nearly half of the ring. And with such a dominating performance, it was in this reporters opinion that ONE FC would shortly be contacting Tynanes. As a matter of fact, I was right. Matt Hume, matchmaker for ONE FC, wasted nearly no time at all. The promotion reached out to Lowen and his team by the next morning after his bout with Folayang.
Now that all the pieces are in motion, Lowen will make his ONE FC debut on February 2, against South African fighter, Vuyisile "The Cheetah" Colossa.
Colossa is clearly known for his speed, as well as his Knock Out abilities. But Tynanes has faced such attributes before. The local boy will likely took to take dominating control as he does with most of his fights, and aboslutely impose his will upon the South African.
Always in top shape, and always motivated by family and team, Tynanes will show the Asian MMA world that Hawaii has top fighters, and they are coming for gold. It is likely that with a win his his promotional debut, Tynanes will take his place on the track to the title. And on the international scene, a title for the Hawaii fighter will only lead to open doors for the entire state.
One FC 7: Return of Warriors takes place on February 2, 2013 and will be available in the US through some form of PPV. Support our local fighter, Lowen Tyananes, and his quest for glory in Malaysia.
