Zac "Savage" Shepard after two impressive amateur fights lasting a total of 3 minutes all by submission, made his professional debut under the famed Blackhouse Team Nogueria banner on Saturday at the Xplode Fight Series: Revancha event at the Valley Center. Matched up with Sultan Ahmed from Team Kadilac MMA making his professional debut as well.
The fight started with Sultan Ahmed throwing a low kick that was checked by Shepard, reacting with a vicious round-house kick that sent Ahmed back. Circling away both fighters measuring distance, Ahmed throws a low left kick, quick to respond Shepard throws a powerful body kick, returned by Ahmed with a low right kick, then a right low kick right afterwards. Ahmed throws a front kick that is quickly caught by Shepard, ties up Ahmed, and goes immediately into a takedown directly into full mount position.
Shepard now in dominant control unleashes some heavy ground and pound and transitions directly into an armbar submission. Shepard unable to finish the armbar smoothly transitions into a triangle submission, which many opponents have been witness to before and not made it out. Ahmed drops a few ground strikes, Shepard then transitions into a triangle arm bar submission and Ahmed then tries for a Pride FC like Quinton "Rampage" Jackson slam which fails and Shepard ends up in a full mounted triangle submission. Ahmed refusing to tap out, Shepard continued holding the submission and immediately utilizes ground and pound until Cecil Peoples has seen enough and ends the fight at 2:00 of the 1st Round via TKO.
We'll keep the MMAHawaii nation posted as we follow Shepard and the rest of the "HI Skrap Pack" as they continue to dominate throughout the mainland.
