Three Hawaii Fighters Do Battle At PXC 37 E-mail
National MMA News

By: King Eddie

Three of Hawaii's warriors take their talents to the Pacific Xtreme Combat cage for PXC 37, tonight from the Ynares Arena in Pasig City, Philippines.

In his second appearance in the promotion, Nate Thorell will be taking on Jang Yong Kim of Korea. As a fast rising star from Korea, Kim has 3 PXC wins under his belt already. One of which coming over 155 lb Champ, and Hawaii legend, Harris Sarmiento. But Thorell is no stranger to challenges. Having fought in Hawaii, the mainland, and the Philippines before, Nate will be ready for anything. With a crushing and overpowering style, Thorell doesn't just defeat his opponents. . . he dominates them. With a victory in this bout, Nate will be one step closer to a shot at the PXC Featherweight Title, and solidifying yet another Hawaii fighter atop a PXC division.

Also in action tonight, Hawaii transplant, Johnny Pecyna. The native of New Jersey has found a home in Hawaii with the 808 Fight Factory. After competing several times here on the islands, Pecyna is spreading his wings to international competition. He will be taking on Japan's, Takumi Nakayama who has a jaw dropping 37 pro fights under his belt. But a record is little more than a number to Pecyna, who looks to make an unforgetable debut in the PXC.

Finally, Hawaii fan favorite, Reno Remigio will be making his PXC debut against Korea's Hong Seung Chan. Each with 2 pro bouts, both men look to make a serious statement tonight. Remigio is now known for his growing strength and abilities, as he has transformed himself for his professional career. Though a bit of a jokester at times, Remigio hulks out in the cage, overwhelming his opponents with a well rounded game that can end the fight at any moment.

As always, Hawaii stands strong behind each of its warriors. With great pride we will watch tonight, cheering on our fine representatives as they battle it out on the international stage at PXC 37.
