1370237_607571319293488_1563049710_nWhen Hawaii fighters travel to the mainland to engage in compeition, that's something we can all get behind as a community and focus our support. One such fighter on the road next weekend will be Team Up n UP's Sammy Quel. He's headed to Saskatchewan, Canada to fight for the 125 lb. amateur title for Prestige Fight Club MMA.

Quel's opponent is Mark Sainci, a 6-0 fighter who will have his hands full in this fight. Quel too is undefeated at 6-0 and will be looking to show exactly why. His speed and ability to create striking opportunities make Quel a difficult opponent for anyone, and his patience under pressure give him an edge against most amateur fighters.

With a win in this bout, Quel can become the 125 lb. Champion of a foreign promotion, earning him the right to travel and fight again in the future. We, as a state and an MMA community, can all be proud of the progess being made by this young amateur fighter. He's already taking steps that mnay pros don't take until much later in their career.

Congratulations and good luck to Sammy Quel of Team Up N Up as he travels to Saskatchewan, Canada to battle for the Prestige Fight Club MMA Title. We are all very proud of you Sammy and look forward to your victorious return.
